Petition Text
Petition to the Prime Minister
Whereas:
• Due to the enormously popular increased use of Artificial Intelligence to create various online content as a tool for productivity, so has its intended use for malicious intent;
• As a direct result of Artificial Intelligence's almost limitless capability to create, this same capability is being used to very easily compromise Canadians in some way so as to put them into some extremely vulnerable, dangerous and intentionally exploitable situations;
• Unfortunately, all Canadians, particularly those who are most vulnerable such as senior citizens, youth such as children and teenagers, are easy targets for online money fraud schemes, sexual predators and those promoting mis/mal and disinformation to promote harmful propaganda; and
• Online crimes are very easily successful due to the majority of Canadians being easily fooled because they cannot determine genuine online content versus artificially generated online content.
We, the undersigned, citizens of Canada, call upon the Prime Minister to construct a law that all online content created in part or as a whole by use of any Artificial Intelligence platform for the intended use to be distributed or posted online by individual citizens, commercial entities, organizations, all levels of municipal, provincial and federal government, all political parties and all others, must be identified in some way as such (in a manner to be decided by the Canadian federal government) to promote better protection via awareness for Canadians so as to avoid falling prey to such malicious intended uses of Artificial Intelligence predators.
