Petition to the House of Commons in Parliament assembled

Whereas:

• There are at least 700 known Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp agents currently in Canada;

• The IRGC is a listed terrorist entity;

• The Toronto Police stated on their website that “What we are dealing with in this case and in other unrelated incidents, including shootings at synagogues and Jewish schools, is a recurring and similar modus operandi -- criminals for hire”;

• CBSA has taken action against only 48 out of the over 700 IRGC agents;

• The UK government has a travel advisory against Canada stating, “Terrorists are likely to carry out attacks in Canada”;

• Within one week there were 5 major antisemitic attacks; and

• Jews do not feel safe in Canada.

We, the undersigned, citizens of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to:

1. Immediately investigate, deport and publish an update on the 700 suspected IRGC officials;

2. Heighten the security screenings surrounding immigration and refugee applications, while not infringing on Canadians' privacy rights;

3. Work with provincial and municipal governments to improve security measures and precedents around vulnerable events and places of worship (specifically but not limited to synagogues);

4. Finally condemn anti-Zionism as the modern form of antisemitism;

5. Immediately pass bills C-255 and C-257;

6. Replace the “Ministerial Advisory Council on Rights, Equality, and Inclusion” with a house special committee on terrorism and hate crimes; and

7. Protect Jewish Canadians, and Canadians as a whole, against further terrorist attacks, allowed by the current government.
