Petition to the House of Commons in Parliament assembled

Whereas:

• The Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) is scheduled for joint review, and Canadian interests face intense pressure to make disproportionate concessions;

• Previous trade negotiations have demonstrated that yielding on core Canadian sectors-such as agriculture, energy and manufacturing-threatens our long term economic independence and middle-class livelihoods; and

• A bad trade deal is far worse than no trade deal, and Canada must not compromise its national sovereignty or vital economic pillars to satisfy foreign demands.

We, the undersigned, your petitioners, call upon the House of Commons to: 1. Stand Firm in Negotiations: Refuse any proposed terms under CUSMA that disproportionately benefit the United States while dismantling Canadian industries, supply management, or resource protections; 2. Walk away if necessary: exercise Canada's sovereign right to walk away from the renegotiation table rather than sign an agreement that compromises our national interests and economic future; and 3. Prioritize Domestic Resilience: Focus national trade policy on internal economic strengthening and diversifying international partnerships rather than capitulating to protectionist U.S. policies.
